Today we had the pleasure of being invited to the book launch of Arlecdon History Group's new book - Frizington Much More Than One Long Street. The group, who meet weekly in our school, kindly presented us with two copies of their book for our school library.
The book is now on sale for £7 and is available at the Library, the Post Office, The Cutting Room or from a History Group member.
Today (18/01) we had a visit from Sarah who is a beekeeper. She shared lots of information with us about how amazing bees are. This helped us to understand why Bubbles the Bee our Building Learning Power (BLP) mascot for "resourcefulness," one of our learning muscles, was chosen.
Sophie and Oliver got to dress up as Beekeepers and the children asked lots of interesting questions.
This week in Frizington we had a very special visitor - Pudsey Bear! The children dressed up as their heroes and rasied money for Children in Need. Children in Need merchandise will be on sale all week.
There were some spooktacular outfits at our Halloween Disco. Thank you to FUNds4Us for organising the event. They also raised an amazing £180.
This week is Anti-Bullying Week and on Monday the children and staff "wore it blue" to support the event. One of our Year 3 pupils went the extra length to show her support by creating this fantastic t-shirt!
The children have all been testing their multiplication and ordering number skills in our mathematics competition, The Cube, this week. They all tried incredibly hard and showed tremendous perseverance and problem solving skills - we are very proud of them.
Huge congratulations to the winners!
