Our year 6s completed their Play Leader training in November. Play Leaders play an important role on our playground. They lead activities for younger children and encourage all children to be active. We can't wait to see their leadership skills in action.
Our first competition of 2019 was indoor athletics. The children competed as individuals for a whole team score. We scored really well and had lots of fun.
Well done to our Year 3/4 and 5/6 teams who took part in the cross-country in the Autumn term. We were really impressed with your determination and skill.

At Frizington we work alongside sports coaches (Reds in the community & Gymnastics with Mrs Mason) to plan and deliver high quality P.E lessons for all year groups. They also run an after school session to help increase pupil participation in sporting activities.
Included in our sports facilities is a large sports hall, two large areas of playground as well as a substantial playing field.
Our school aims to promote a healthy lifestyle within breakfast club where children can enjoy a healthy choice of foods to help them start the day, as well as a 10 minute shake up activity that is part of the change for life scheme.
Children are also encouraged to use the salad bar at lunchtimes to ensure they have a balanced meal.
