Mathematics
Our aims through Mathematical learning are to enable chidren to:

Be enthusiastic, gain confidence, and independance, be happy and enjoy their work.

Gain knowledge and undestanding of the skills they require and are able to communicate these facts.

Be able to transfer them to new situations.

Be curious, questioning and develop logic and reasoning skills.

Develop a positive atitude towards Mathematics.

Experience high quality teaching/learning that is purposeful, relevant, challenging and practical, with varied outcomes and approaches. Skills should be taught so that they can be applied to investigations and problem solving.
The school follows the National Curriculum and has adapted a "Maths Mastery" approach, which helps pupils to develop a deep, long-term and adaptable understanding of maths.
