Homework
EdShed
Two tasks will be set each week and then children are free to pick their own activities beyond that.
New tasks are set each Monday to be completed by the following Monday.
Strive for 5!
As part of our Read Write Inc Phonics lessons, we reread each book, firstly to decode words, then to build fluency and lastly to develop comprehension skills.
Following this, the book will be sent home to share. At this point children are able to demonstrate their impressive reading skills and celebrate the fact they can read independently.
We ask that children read at least 5 times a week and for parents to record this in the yellow Reading Record books. These will be checked on a Monday morning and reading raffle tickets and team points awarded for those who have read 5 times.
