Letter for Parents

13 July 2020 (by admin)

Please see below letter which is being sent out today with School Reports:

Dear Parent / Carer

 REPORTS

I have great pleasure in attaching your child’s report for 2019/2020.  Obviously due to the exceptional circumstances this year, our reports have been adapted accordingly.  The assessment judgement is based on the work produced in the autumn and spring term; there is no requirement to report on the summer term and this is the same for attendance.

We aim to give you an overview of what your child could do across the curriculum and I hope you find this information useful.  I would also like to thank the staff as it takes a considerable amount of time to write them.  If you have any queries about the report, then please email schooloffice@frizington-pri.cumbria.sch.uk and we will organise a telephone consultation with your child’s class teacher.

Our Teacher Assessment attainment is shown as ‘working towards expected standard’, ‘working at expected standard’ or ‘working at greater depth’.

Please could you write your own comments on a copy of the report and email it back to School by Friday 17th July

Class Structure

We have a Governors’ meeting on Tuesday 14th July when we will finalise the class structure and “bubbles” for September.  Please note that due to the nature of a constantly changing situation, this may not be the case for September, but we will update you accordingly.  Over the holidays, we are having extensive work carried out throughout the School.  When the work is complete, we will share pictures of the children’s classrooms and communal areas before their return.

 Parent Questionnaires

As always, the views of all our stakeholders are considered in the development of our School Improvement Plan.  This year we have two separate questionnaires one pre and one post lockdown.  We would appreciate it if all parents could complete both questionnaires.  Please could they be completed by Friday 17th July.

Thank you to all our families who have been so supportive of the School during an extremely challenging time.  We have appreciated all your kind words, your contributions to the planning for the School and your time home schooling – you have all been fantastic!

I hope that you all enjoy the summer holidays, the best that you can and look forward to welcoming all our children back in to School in September.

Take care everyone and stay safe.

 Mrs Rose
