Update

20 November 2020 (by admin)

Following queries from parents this morning regarding dropping off siblings at School when a child is isolating, we have received the following response from Public Health:

“Wherever possible, we would advise parents to utilise a support bubble to help with childcare in this situation, either to look after the isolating child at home or to take siblings to school. It may be that parents in a similar situation could arrange a temporary childcare bubble in these circumstances.

If this is not an option, and child who is isolating needs to be taken out of the house, the family needs to be especially cautious about keeping their distance from other families. If driving, keep the isolating child in the car. If walking, the whole family should wear masks where age/compliance permits, and must maintain strict social distancing.” (We would also request that no isolating child comes on to School premises and is well away from any other families).

Obviously depending on the age/maturity of your child, you may decide for them to stay at home whilst dropping off.   We are more than happy for you to share the school number with them to contact us in case of an emergency.

If your child develops symptoms, the whole family will need to follow the "Stay at Home Guidance," request a test and inform School.

Any queries, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Take Care
