FAO Important Information for Parents whose children are attending/going to be attending school

22 June 2020 (by admin)

Dear Parents

It has been a delight to have the children back in school and they have managed the return so positively.  Our last phase before the summer will be to welcome the Rec group back to school on Monday 29th  June.

Can parents please make sure that they have read both the Home/School Agreement and the letter to parents for their year group which contains key information and rules which must be adhered to, to keep the children, staff and community safe.  The Home/School agreement must be signed and returned to School when your child returns.  You can find the information on the School website: Parent Information/Covid 19 Information.  The Reception information will be available later this week when the classroom is ready so that we can share photographs so the children know what to expect.

One of the stipulations from the Risk Assessment is that rooms should be ventilated.  It was very cold in school today so please make sure that your child/ren have a jumper with them.

We have also stated that families must adhere to social distancing rules outside of School or we may not be able to have the children in School.  Please note, this includes the transport of children to and from School.  Unless this changes in the announcement tomorrow, Children should not be transported in a vehicle unless it is by the parent or an adult who is part of the “support bubble.”  If another family member is collecting a child, they must walk them home and again, following the 2m social distancing.  For further information please click here.

I know some of you may find this excessive, however it is my job to ensure that the school is the safest that it can be and parents need to support us with this, as I know many of you do.  The rules can be very difficult and are never straight forward so we understand that there will be times when it is a misunderstanding.

Please read the information given carefully and if someone else is collecting your child, please make sure that they have read it too.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation which is needed to keep everyone safe and the School open.

Mrs Rose
