Important Updates and After School Clubs

6 January 2022 (by admin)

Dear Parent/Carer

Good afternoon, apologies for the extended jotter message, however, due to the current circumstances, it is a quicker way to get information to parents rather than our normal newsletter.

After School Clubs:

Please find the link here (and below) to our spring (1) after school club booking form.  There is no brochure this term, information is on the booking form.   If your device does not support the link, you will find the information on our School website: Our School/Breakfast and After School Clubs/Club Brochures.

Please return by Monday morning at the latest.

Booking Form

Attendance:

Your child will be bringing home their autumn term RAG letter today.  This shows your child’s attendance percentage and rating of red, amber and green (lower and upper).   This is based on the National absence figures.  Government policy states that any positive Covid-19 absence is included in the figures.  However, if your child absence was due to isolation, this is not included in the figures and the percentage is based on “days in School.”  Any questions regarding the attendance, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Dinners:

We are still only running a packed lunch service at the moment.  Please note dinners still need to be ordered (by 9am) through lunch shop and cancelled if your child is bringing their own to ensure that the charging is correct for both School and parents.

Fruit and Snack Money:

If you would like your child to have fruit this half-term, the cost for the half-term is £4.20.  Reception snack money will be £5.60.  If you could send the correct money in an envelope, that would be very helpful.

Playtimes:

Due to our Covid risk assessments, wherever possible children will be outside for playtimes.  Lots of children have not got adequate coats or gloves, hats etc.., please make sure that they bring these into School.  This is also the same in classrooms, which need to be kept ventilated and therefore can become cold.  Please make sure that your child has their School jumper/cardigan in school with them at all times (layers under too, if it is particularly cold).

Trainers:

Just a reminder (previous newsletter), that trainers are not to be worn in School.  I did say not to change them if you had them already until they needed replaced, however we have a few children with nice, shiny, and new Christmas trainers on.  Children should be wearing plain black school shoes as stated in our uniform information.

Isolation Guidance:

A few parents have asked about isolation rules.  I have attached the link below which was sent out earlier this week from Public Health.

Isolation Guidance

Testing Information (Info from DfE):

Confirmatory PCR tests to be temporarily suspended for positive lateral flow device (LFD) test results

Confirmatory PCR tests following a positive lateral flow device (LFD) test result are to be temporarily suspended from Tuesday 11 January. This will mean that anyone who receives a positive LFD test result will be required to self-isolate immediately and will not be required to take a confirmatory PCR test.

Any questions do not hesitate to get in touch.

Many Thanks

Mrs Rose
