Here are a few notices / reminders for the rest of term:

KS1 Performance tonight:  Please can you ensure that KS1 children return to School (via the front door please) at 5.30 pm tonight to give them enough time to get dressed etc.

KS1 Trip to Whinlatter this Thursday:  KS1 children are on their Christmas trip to Whinlatter on Thursday 14th December.  They need to wear ‘forest school’ clothing, ie warm, waterproof clothing plus wellies.  Children will need to bring their water bottles and a small backpack to put their lunch in.

Christmas Service at St Paul’s Church this Friday 15th December:  We are still looking for volunteers to walk to church from 10.30 am this Friday morning please.  If you are able to help, please let us know asap.

Christmas Dinner – Friday 15^th December:  Children can wear their Christmas jumpers to School with their uniform.

Year 5 Forest School – Monday 18^th December at 1.00 pm:  We are still looking for two adult helpers to go with the Year 5’s next Monday afternoon to forest school please.  If you are able to help, please let us know asap.

Christmas Disco – Monday 18^th December:  As previously mentioned, we are holding a Christmas Disco next Monday from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm (no charge).  If your child is not staying to the disco, they will need to be collected from the front door at the usual time for collection, ie 3.15 pm for KS1 or 3.20 pm for KS2 children.  Children can bring their party clothes in a bag.  If your KS2 child is walking home after the disco, they will need a note.

Last Day – Tuesday 19^th December at 1.15 pm:  School closes at 1.15 pm next Tuesday.  If any KS2 children are walking home, again they will require a note please.

Miss Goulding:   We are writing to inform you that Miss Goulding is leaving us at Christmas to further her career working with families as a ‘Family & Child Support Worker’ at Family Action.  Miss Goulding has been with us for over 28 years and we really appreciate her significant contribution to Frizington Community Primary School during that time.  We wish her all the very best in this new exciting chapter of her professional development.

I am pleased to announce that we have appointed Mrs Maureen Nelson, who is also a qualified teacher, to take over Miss Goulding’s role from January until the summer.
