PE and Healthy Lifestlyes at Frizington Primary

Our school provides a minumum of 2 hours of PE every week, as well as 10 minutes of fun fitness exercise twice a day, lunchtime activities and a variety of afterschool clubs.

At Frizington we work alongside sports coaches (Reds in the community & Gymnastics with Mrs Mason) to plan and deliver high quality P.E lessons for all year groups. They also run an after school session to help increase pupil participation in sporting activities.

Included in our sports facilities is a large sports hall, two large areas of playground as well as a substantial playing field.

Our school aims to promote a healthy lifestyle within breakfast club where children can enjoy a healthy choice of foods to help them start the day, as well as a 10 minute shake up activity that is part of the change for life scheme.

Children are also encouraged to use the salad bar at lunchtimes to ensure they have a balanced meal.
