Important Covid Update28 May 2021 (by admin) |
Good Afternoon
Please find below important information from Public Health and the Department for Education:
Positive Cases – Close Contacts
We have been advised by Public Health England North West that with immediate effect, all close contacts of confirmed COVID-19 cases in educational settings in the North West should get a PCR test. It applies to all children, young people and adults.
This change in guidance is being made to provide an additional measure to help stop the spread of the B.1.617.2 variant of COVID-19 (which was originally detected in India).
Potential/Positive Cases Over Half-Term
Please continue to inform school if over the half-term your child is symptomatic and you are awaiting a PCR test result so that if we need to, we can inform your child’s bubble. If the PCR test is positive, please report to us immediately so we can support in identifying close contacts, if required. Please report to headteacher@frizington-pri.cumbria.sch.uk
.The children have been working so hard this term and definitely deserve a rest - we are very proud of them. I hope you all enjoy the half-term holiday and that we get plenty of sunshine.
Take Care
Mrs Rose
