Please find below information relating to upcoming events / dates:

• Whole School – 10p Race – starting tomorrow, Thursday 30^th January: As part of the School Council’s fund-raising efforts, they would like the children to take part in a ‘10p Race’ to see which class can collect the most 10p’s to win a reward.  The prize (chosen by the children) will be awarded to the winning class on Friday 14th February.
• Whole School – Bug Busting this weekend: We are having a bug busting weekend this weekend as we have been informed of a couple of cases of head lice in School.  Please see information here.  We do advise that children with long hair, keep their hair tied up whilst at School.
• Whole School: Can children please keep their PE kits in School all week then take it home on a Friday to be washed in case we get the opportunity to do any extra PE sessions.
• Whole School - Valentine’s Disco on Thursday 13^th February: FUNds4Us have kindly offered to put on a Valentine’s Disco for the children on 13/02/25 from 3.30 pm until 5.00 pm.  Tickets will be available to purchase from Monday via the School Hub priced at £2.50 which includes a hot dog and a drink. 
• Reception children -Thursday 30^th January: The Reception children will be going to Forest School tomorrow morning as usual.
• Year 3 children – Friday 31^st January: The Year 3 children are taking part in a ‘Change for Life’ sporting event at Whitehaven Academy.  They will be leaving School at 12.20 pm and returning at approximately 3.00 pm.  Some children are being transported by minibus and the others will be transported in Miss Ellwood’s car.
• Year 3 / 4 U-Dance tickets: As mentioned last week, U-Dance tickets will be going on sale at 9.00 am on Monday 10^th February (details of how to purchase these tickets will be shared with parents as soon as we find out).
• Year 3 / 4 Residential: The next deposit of £40 is due by the 9^th February please via the School Hub.
• Year 6 – consent forms: The Year 6 children are taking part in an Anne Frank workshop on 04/02/25.  If you haven’t done so already, please can you return your child’s consent form to School.
• Key Steps Gymnastics Event – Friday 7^th February: Six children from KS1 and KS2 will be taking part in the Key Steps Gymnastics event on the afternoon of Friday 07/02/25 at Whitehaven Academy.  If your child is taking part in this event, you will receive confirmation of this via a Jotter message.  Some children will be transported in a staff car and we are looking for a parent volunteer to also transport some children please.
