Dear Parent/Carer

Here are a few important dates / reminders about upcoming events:

• Whole School – School Meal Provision (Orian): We have been informed by Orian that they are increasing the cost of a School meal to £3.44 with effect from 1^st April 2025.  We are meeting with them next Tuesday afternoon to discuss this increase as we are aware of the financial impact that this will have on our families.  If your child has mentioned any issues with the meal service, please could you make us aware so that we can feedback this information on to Orian.  We will keep you updated.
• Happiness Ninjas - Monday 10^th March:  The Happiness Ninjas are taking part in an event at Whitehaven Academy from 9.10 am until approximately 3.00 pm on Monday 10th March.  They will not require a School lunch as it will be provided by the organisers.
• Year 1 / 2’s Walk around the Village: The children will be walking around the village next Tuesday morning (11^th March) as part of their English topic.  We now have two parent volunteers to accompany them – thank you.
• Year 3 / 4 Parents’ Residential meeting: This is being held on Tuesday 11^th March at 3.20 pm.  Please note that the next and final payment for the residential is due on 10^th March via the School Hub.
• Year 3 / 4 U-Dance Information: A letter about costumes required for the U-Dance event on 17^th March are going out to parents this week (either plain blue or green t-shirt plus black leggings – the letter will detail which colour t-shirt your child requires).  If any parents do not have transport to and from the event, please let us know and we will see if any other parents have any spare capacity to help with this.
